My name is Harrison Spriggs, I work for Blossoming Oak Media, and wanted to give you some free tips on how to best utilize your social media in order to grow your business. Are you working hard in your business, but not getting the amount of exposure or clients you need? Social Media Marketing is a great way to get cheap and even free exposure to new potential clients. If you don’t have a big marketing budget, or a marketing budget at all, that’s ok! Here are a few free tips that will allow you to take your social media marketing game to the next level, all organically and without paying for ads.
Before we get into all of that, however, let me introduce you to a few of the best social media platforms to utilize. Although there are a bunch of social media platforms that you can utilize for your marketing, here are the top three that I believe are key for the success of any business: Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Facebook’s algorithm favors content that people engage with easily. Because they want quality over quantity, it is recommended to post about three times a week. This will enable your users to be able to engage with more of your posts, won’t spam their timelines, and will give you a boost of relevancy every time you do post.
Instagram favors quantity over quality. Although quality is a big deal, on Instagram it is best to post at least once every day. This is due to the fact that only 5% of all users post daily, and the more you post the more of a chance it will be seen.
Although Facebook and Instagram are utilized more frequently than LinkedIn, LinkedIn has the best algorithm for organic content. The majority of Facebook and Instagram’s revenue comes from selling ads, but LinkedIn is different. Only 25% of their revenue comes from ads. Because of that, the potential for organic growth is outrageous. Posting at least once a day on LinkedIn is crucial in order to get the most out of your social media marketing.
The $1.80 method. This is not my method, it is one I learned from Gary Vaynerchuck, and it works phenomenally. Take Instagram for example. Search for a hashtag that is relevant to your niche, and sincerely comment (leave your two cents) on the top nine posts for that hashtag. Do that for ten hashtags each day. Two cents * 9 posts * 10 hashtags = $1.80. That is a great way to engage with the digital community, and get noteriety on the digital sphere.
So to recap: use Facebook three times a week, Instagram daily, and LinkedIn daily in order to connect with your digital peers. Sincerely comment on relevant posts, and build yourself up as an authority in your field. That is the best way to organically grow your business, FREE!
